Spotlight on Dr. Gomez

We are very fortunate to have two wonderful doctors at Gomez and Hoffman Eye Care. Today, we are going to spotlight some fun facts about Dr. Efren Gomez.

- Dr. Gomez graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry.

- He graduated Carthage College for his undergraduate studies in Biology.

- He is fluent in both English and Spanish.

- He has an identical twin brother.

- He enjoys spending time with his wife Caitlin and son Julian.

-He enjoys running, cycling, and staying active. In fact, he has completed a full Iron Man.

- He is a member of the Whiting Lions Club and enjoys volunteering to help the community.

- He travels to Mexico on a mission trip with the Indiana Lions every February to provide eye exams and glasses to thousands of people. This past year 5,702 people received at least one pair of glasses through this mission trip.
